PREVIEW: TRUE BLOOD SEASON 5 EPISODE 5.06 ‘HOPELESS’

Yesterday’s episode of HBO’s TRUE BLOOD was the best yet this season. And while I still believe there are a few subplots that could be completely done away with (the Iraq flashback/fire demon story for example), this season is really starting to pick up. Below you’ll find a preview for next Sunday’s episode titled HOPELESS.

Episode #54 (5.06): “Hopeless”:

Unable to deal with the demon magic inside him, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) calls out to Jesus’ (Kevin Alejandro) spirit for help. Patrick Devins (Scott Foley) and Terry (Todd Lowe) are held hostage in the bunker of their Iraq War buddy Brian Eller (Brian Geraghty). Jason (Ryan Kwanten) wakes to a disturbing dream; Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) gives Tara (Rutina Wesley) advice on adjusting to vampire life; Sam (Sam Trammell) visits Luna (Janina Gavankar) with bad news.” (Written by Angela Robinson; directed by Michael Lehmann.)

PREVIEW: TRUE BLOOD EPISODE 5.05, LET’S BOOT AND RALLY

This Sunday’s episode of HBO’s TRUE BLOOD wasn’t half bad, actually, which is a good thing because I’ve been somewhat bored with this season so far. There are a lot of subplots going on that add nothing to the overall story and generally seem to only be there to fill up time. Episode 4 had plenty ‘o that, but it was a little better, so perhaps that’ll be a trend.

Episode #53 (5.05): LET’S BOOT AND RALLY:
