ZOMBIE PRISON RIOT IN 2 NEW IMAGES FROM THE WALKING DEAD: SEASON 3

Entertainment Weekly has scored two new stills from the upcoming 3rd season of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD, and it looks like our intrepid heroes are going to have a hell of a time getting into their new hideout, a maximum security prison. Show-runner Glen Mazzara who had the following to say to eager fans …

I’m incredibly proud of the prison. I think our crew has done a great job. It’s a huge sense of scale and magnitude I haven’t seen on any other show as far as construction. What’s important to us is the prison itself is now a character in the show. It’s a haunted house, it’s scary, it’s frightening, and there are parts of the prison that are always terrifying, that are always inaccessible to our group. It’s not necessarily the blessing that the prison in the comic book turned out to be.

This season will see the hotly anticipated introduction of some fan favorite characters from the comic series, Michonne (Danai Gurira) and The Governor (David Morrissey). We’ll also be seeing the return of Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker). And don’t forget…

AMC announced “The Walking Dead” Season 3 Preview Weekend on Sat., Jul. 7 and Sun., Jul. 8 beginning at 11:30AM/10:30c each day. The one-time-only airing of Talking Dead, hosted by Chris Hardwick (Nerdist), will be followed by a never-before-seen black and white version of The Walking Dead pilot episode at 10/9c.

Now, about those photos. The second is my favorite. It’s good to see Maggie (Lauren Cohan) getting into the, ahem, swing of things…
