It’s no secret that Shout Factory’s special division SCREAM FACTORY is ahead of the game when it comes to releasing amazing special editions of horror and exploitation films we all hold dear to our cold black hearts. They remind me of Anchor Bay during the early days of their awesome DVD releases and are quickly becoming the kings of special edition horror releases. Now, SCREAM FACTORY has stated on their official facebook page a few of the special editions scheduled for release in 2013, and I for one can’t wait to get my blood soaked claws on ’em.

From the release:

The wait is over! We can now officially reveal some really cool and beloved horror classics from the 80s that will be coming from the “Factory” in 2013:

Below is a clip from the upcoming Howling remake, re-imagining, whatever Howling Reborn. If this clip is indicative of the entire movie, oh MAN does it look like it’s going to blow. It looks like it’s going to be a mix of Twilight and MTV’s Teen Wolf. Crap-o-la. Still, I’ll give it a watch because it’s a werewolf flick, and put up a review when I get my bloody hands on it. Here’s a synopsis:

In THE HOWLING REBORN, Landon Liboiron stars as Will Kidman, who on the eve of his high school graduation, catches the eye of the girl he’s longed for the last four years –the mysterious Eliana Wynter (Lindsey Shaw).

He’s always been the shy kid, flying under the radar, but when he discovers a dark secret from his past— that he is heir to a powerful line of werewolves — he finds he has a choice to make between succumbing to his primal nature, or turning against his own, and maintaining his humanity.
