ShockTillYouDrop.com has received official word J.T. Petty’s The Burrowers is going to premiere on DVD in April 2009 following its fall ‘08 festival run, confirming some of the rumblings we heard in the midst of the Midnight Meat Train’s release plans backlash in July.

Lionsgate is distributing the western/creature starring Doug Hutchison, Clancy Brown and William Mapother.

The Burrowers makes its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this week and then it’s U.S. premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin on September 21st

What else, ah yes, we have a Wendigo flick comin’ out pretty soon headlining Superman himself, Dean Cain, called MANEATER.  Fangoria got their mits on a pic of the monster.  Click the Pic for more information and more pics.

Seems as though Guillermo del Toro is owned by the Hobbit for the next billion years, but Variety reports that he’s still in talks with Universal about releasing his definitive vision of HP Lovecraft’s AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS, and if you haven’t read Lovecraft, Fuck You.

Last up is a little youtube fan flick that I found hilarious.  It was featured on SHOCK TILL YOU DROP and showcases the GREMLINS invading various other movies such as The Exorcist, Batman, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, etc.  Cool as hell and done really well, so check it out!

Ok, I’m not entirely sure how this one slipped by me, but the new fright flick from JT PETTY, THE BURROWERS, just had a trailer hit the intarwebz.  According to the boys over at Bloody Disgusting, the plot is as follows:

After a family is brutally murdered in their home, a group of ranchers and infantry men embark on a crusade to find the killers. When a mysterious killer attacks their ranks, they discover that carnivorous creatures are hiding beneath the surface of the earth waiting to feed on their flesh.
