I came across this sweet little 10 minute video of some behind-the-scenes footage for MGM’s CHILD’S PLAY on YouTube. Within, you’ll find discussions with such luminaries as special effects makeup artist and “Godfather Of Gore” Tom Savini along with creator/writer Don Mancini, as they talk about the film that spawned the Child’s Play franchise. One of the best parts about the video, however, is the part where the special effects team displays the creation of the Chucky doll itself. Check it out!

MGM DEVELOPING ‘THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN’ REMAKE

Source: Variety

According to Variety, and yet another example that production companies throughout Hollywood are scraping the bottom of the barrel, MGM is in the works to remake of 1976 horror movie THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN.

This from the Variety Article:

MGM had no comment but the Lion has been asking agents for possible takes from writers to reboot the Charles B. Pierce film.

The original movie was based on five unsolved murders attributed to the Phantom Killer during three months in 1946 in and around the city of Texarkana on the border between Texas and Arkansas. Pierce shot large parts of the movie in and around Texarkana with extras recruited from local residents.
