Here are some details from the upcoming LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake DVD. I didn’t get a chance to see this one in theaters, but I hear it’s actually a pretty damn decent flick, so I’ll check it out when it hits DVD and let ya’ll know what I think.
Universal is prepping both unrated and theatrical cuts of the film which will be available separately (on DVD) or together (on Blu-Ray). The unrated cut clocks in at 1 hour and 54 minutes, four minutes longer than the theatrical print. Special features will include deleted scenes and A Look Inside featurette. Those with Blu-Ray capabilities will get a digital copy of the unrated version, BD-Live and “My Scenes Sharing” features.
As soon as some DVD art shows up on the intarwebz, you’ll see it here!
From DREAD CENTRAL:
Fresh off of a successful revisit to The Last House on the Left, Wes Craven is looking to take us to a new nightmarish place he calls Home.
Bloody Disgusting reports today that Craven will reteam with Last House redux writer Adam Alleca to create a new horror flick called Home for Midnight Entertainment.
Home follows the story of a man, fresh out of prison and under provisional house arrest in a cabin in the woods, who struggles with his own psychological delusions. No other details are available at this time. Given how well received Last House was, I expect we’ll hear more sooner rather than later.
I wonder if ‘ol Wes’ll be directing…
More as it develops.
Just got this in the ‘ol inbox. How would YOU kill ’em…
Oh my GOD, I can’t imagine how much SHIT this flick is gonna be. I’m throwing up the trailer though because some of you boils and ghoulies out there might actually be looking forward to this. There’s no way, no fucking way they’re going to capture the severe, gut-wrenching brutality of the first. JUST BECAUSE of the remake, I’m going to rewatch the original and pop a review up, even though I swore I’d never watch that movie again because, like I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE, it’s just a hard one for me (that’s what SHE said). The only way I can watch I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE is with the Joe Bob Briggs commentary. I mean, come on, that gang rape scene, with her screaming, if you feel NOTHING when watching it, you’re a horrible bastard.
Here’s the trailer for the upcoming redux. Now go cry in a closet.
Also, Krug (played by Garret Dillahunt) is putting on his best Ben Foster (the Stranger from 30 Days Of Night) impression. Oh my God. Fucking awful. Best thing about this movie so far is that I kind of dig the “Sweet Child” redux.
