VIDEO: A SECOND CLIP FROM THE POSSESSION: WHERE’S MY BOX

A second clip has been released for Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, in association with Lionsgate’s, THE POSSESSION titled “Where’s My Box?”. While not as incredibly creepy as the first clip, it gives insight into the dibbuk’s possession over the girl. Check it out below.

Directed by Ole Bornedal, and due for release this Friday, August 31st, 2012. Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Madison Davenport, and Natasha Calis, the film (formerly THE DIBBUK BOX) is inspired by a 2004 Los Angeles Times story about a Jewish demon, or dibbuk, jinx box that went up for auction on eBay.

SYNOPSIS:

One family must unite in order to survive the wrath of an unspeakable evil. Clyde (Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

LIONSGATE EXPLORES THE DIBBUK IN A FEATURETTE FOR THE POSSESSION

THE POSSESSION, Directed by Ole Bornedal, and due for release on August 31st, 2012. But what is a Dibbuk exactly? All we know thus far is that it is, in Jewish lore, a type of malevolent demon. Now, Lionsgate, in preparation for the release of THE POSSESSION in just under a week has released a 3 minute featurette explaining in detail just what the Dibbuk is and what it represents.

NEW 60 SECOND TV SPOT FOR THE POSSESSION

As the release date for the Sam Raimi & Rob Tapert produced THE POSSESSION nears, we’ll probably be seeing more television spots in anticipation of the film. The first one has finally hit and it really brings the terror. I’d go so far as to say that they fit more horror in this 60 second spot than the trailer.

NEW POSTER HITS THE WEB FOR LIONSGATE’S THE POSSESSION

As the release date for the Sam Raimi & Rob Tapert produced THE POSSESSION nears, we’ll probably be seeing more art and stills in anticipation of the film. Below is the newest one sheet Lionsgate has released on its facebook page. I can’t really say it’s scoring any points for originality. The original was much better. This lastest poster seems a bit too reminiscent of the art for THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT. But I suppose that’s the trend now when it comes to possessed kids…strange things spewing out of their mouths. Whatever happened to pea soup?

Which looks a little too much like…
