Shock Until You Drop just released the DVD art and specs for the release of Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat.  I read about this flick in Bruce Campbell’s autobiography If Chins Could Kill, but have never seen it, mostly because it can’t really be found except maybe on VHS on ebay where copies have sold for as much as $100.  But now it’s going to be going into my netflix list when released on September 23rd.

The special features will include:
• Memories of Moab featurette (an all-new interview with Bruce Campbell)
• A Vampire Reformed featurette (all-new interview with David Carradine)
• The Making of Sundown featurette
• Audio commentary with director Anthony Hickox and director of photography Levie Isaacks
• Photo Gallery

According to Wikipedia: A colony of vampires takes over a ghost town of Purgatory, and under the leadership of Jozek Mardulak are developing a method of making artificial plasma. But another elder, Jefferson, who abhors the idea of vampires being anything other than predators, organizes a revolution. At the same time, a descendant of the original Abraham Van Helsing (played by Bruce Campbell) shows up, trying to fulfil his family “destiny.” David Carradine plays the lead Vampire named Jozek Mardulak.

Below you’ll find a “trailer” (made by a fan) I found on YouTube and the dvd art, as well as original poster art…
