ROBERT ENGLUND OFFICIALLY CAST IN BEFORE THE MASK: THE RETURN OF LESLIE VERNON

Scott Glosserman’s BEFORE THE MASK: THE RETURN OF LESLIE VERNON, is certainly picking up steam. While not quite completely funded just yet, a few days ago, we reported that Kane Hodder had joined the cast with a larger role than last time where he was just seen angrily walking away, and now news has come down the wire that another genre legend, Robert Englund, has signed on to be a part of the film as well to reprise his role as Doc Halloran. And if the news couldn’t get much better, Mr. Englund has also agreed to help produce the film as well.

Even though Englund & Hodder hav been the cast, and Englund is helping with production duties, the film cannot be made without the support of you guys. KANE HODDER TO JOIN CAST OF BEFORE THE MASK: THE RETURN OF LESLIE VERNON

I happen to be a huge fan of Scott Glosserman’s BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON. I thought it was an incredibly inventive take on the slasher genre and our national obsession with serial killers. If you haven’t seen it, I definitely recommend you check it out! Kane Hodder made a brief cameo in the first film as a disgruntled neighbor and he’ll be returning for the sequel, BEFORE THE MASK: THE RETURN OF LESLIE VERNON, and this time it’s a substantial role.

Kane Hodder had this to say about being cast in Glosserman’s BEFORE THE MASK: THE RETURN OF LESLIE VERNON:

“I was happy to be a part of the first film. Had no idea what, exactly, I was getting myself into. But, Robert (Englund) asked me to do a favor and show up in front of the Elm Street house for a cameo, so I did it.

In retrospect, I’m so happy to have been a part of such an intelligent, clever Valentine to horror fans. I’ve been shouting the praises of Scott’s movie for several years now and I’m excited to be offered a more substantial role in the next one. It’s really important that we support indie horror and I can’t think of a bigger statement we’d all be making than getting this project fan-funded through Kickstarter. That would definitely send a message to Hollywood.”
