Ok, first of all, let’s just say that this remake thing is, and has been, out of control.  It’s just money money money money moneeeeeey.  Sick of it.

Alrighty, now that’s out of the way, WHAT THE FUCK?  Robert Englund has said time and time again he’d reprise his role as Freddy if the script was good.  So what does this mean?  If he’s really turning it down and Brad Fuller isn’t just turning him away, that must mean the script is utter dog shit.  No big surprise.

More on this as it develops.

  1. i think its a great idea, that he is taking a fresh start with a new freddy, like batman begins everyone was sceptacle as to the cristian bale but he did a fantastic job and a new twist to the batman charecter, sure englunds an icon and it would be awsome to see him but this new fresh approach will be justified i am sure

  2. To say the least I am a bit upset about the new “Nightmare On Elm Street”
Robert Englund is not playing “Freddy Krueger”…what is the world coming to??
And who the heck is this Jackie Earle Haley person!!!!
i think I may just go see it just see what the plot is all about.

  3. I think it silly to have a freddy that isn’t englund myself but i am hopefully they the nightmare name is done well by the new film. only time will tell if the new freddy flops or not.

  4. I agree with the “remake” issue. I think it’s a bunch of useless money that could be spent on feeding our own people, helping rebuild or something. I mean, look at the nation’s debt! And we need to throw away money for stupid movies that have stupid plots! A good example, I think, is “Land of the Lost” with Will Ferrelll. Not even close to the original T.V. show. Thx for the pic.

  6. Actually, Robert clearly stated that his role of being Freddy died when the original series ended. He always thought about doing it again but when it came up to it he decided it was time to pass on the torch. And anyways, Jackie did a great job as Freddy.
