“We can all agree the legendary Dick Miller deserves his own doc. So, let’s all agree to help out.

Elijah Drenner, the man behind 2010′s exploitation doc AMERICAN GRINDHOUSE and a host of DVD special features over the years, wants to tell the tale of a Hollywood legend. One Dick Miller.

Miller, who came up under Roger Corman (and could be best known for his starring role in the wonderful horror beatnik sendup A BUCKET OF BLOOD), has gone on to cinema infamy as an unstoppable character actor, and frequent collaborator/friend to Joe Dante.

Drenner is aiming to fund THAT GUY DICK MILLER, as it’s titled, through Kickstarter. It’s lunacy a higher financier doesn’t want in on this, but this is a great opportunity for film fans to aid something great and wholly deserving of donation. Miller, who’s worked endlessly over the years with the likes of Fred Dekker, Quentin Tarantino, Samuel Fuller, James Cameron and more is a cinematic mainstay and the type of fellow with stories galore, both personal and professional, and when the likes of him, Joe Dante, John Landis, etc get talking, you want to listen.

You can learn much more about Drenner’s plans with THAT GUY DICK MILLER, and see rewards for donating (including original scripts from Miller, a date with Dick and more) at the film’s official Kickstarter. You can also see the pitch video, below. Thanks to Badass Digest for the heads up.”
