The cool ghouls over at Shock Till You Drop have posted a new photo from the upcoming sequel SCREAM 4. Other than the first one, I haven’t been a huge fan of the series, but I’ll be giving the 4th installment a shot. This from STYD:
A new image from Scream 4 has arrived in anticipation of Spike’s Scream Awards this weekend. The annual ceremony will shoot on Saturday in Los Angeles and air at a later date. A special preview of the sequel will air during the awards show. As for the pic you see – you’ve got David Arquette as Sheriff Dewey Riley, Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers. The film is expected to hit theaters on April 15. When Spike airs that footage, we’ll bring it to you as soon as it’s available.
The good boils ‘n ghouls over at Shock Till You Drop have posted a 17 Minute behind the scenes video from the set of The Walking Dead. For those of us who can’t wait for the upcoming epic zombie miniseries, here’s a little taste…
Still ramping up for Halloween, here’s a little bit of nostalgia to keep things festive. I have watched this clip too many times to count over the years… I remember seeing it on television as a child, and now, of course, I can watch it all the time online. It never gets old.
Below is the short, animated film from Michael Dougherty. It was something of a short first draft for his absolute masterpiece Trick ‘r Treat. Coming soon will be an in-depth review (I’m not entirely certain I did one…but even if I did, you’ll get another one, because it’s THE HALLOWEEN MOVIE!) of Trick ‘r Treat, so stay tuned!
It’s that time of year again boils ‘n ghouls. That time of year when the air becomes cool and crisp. When dusk brings a brilliant orange hue and long, mysterious shadows. That time of year when the smell of woodsmoke drifts upon the brisk night wind. When the leaves carpet the ground with brilliant shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown. It is that time of year when a Jack ‘o Lantern, so carefully carved, sits glowing upon the steps of homes everywhere. When children stalk the night to trick or treat. It is a time of monsters, of werewolves, vampires, witches and ghosts. It is time…for Halloween!
If you’re reading this, then there’s a good chance that, like me, you’ve waited all year for this. In celebration, not only have I decided to resurrect Backwoods Horror from the dead, but the entire month of October is Halloween for me. And the day itself? I’m not yet certain what I’ll be doing, but I’m for DAMN sure it’s going to be memorable (IF I can remember it…heh…). So dust off your costumes, or make or buy new ones, because it’s time to get out there and celebrate the time of year when Horror in every form imaginable is brought to the forefront of every heart and mind.
If you’re not excited about the upcoming Frank Darabont/Robert Kirkman mini-series THE WALKING DEAD… WHY THE FUCK NOT!?!?! Unless maybe YOU’RE dead, in which case, if you’re dead and reading this…bad-ASS! THE WALKING DEAD hits AMC on All Hallows, October 31st. I’ll be out stealing little kids’ Halloween Candy by force, but I’ll be sure to be home in time for all the creamy zombie goodness! Check Check Check it out!
